What is the capacity of a campervan?

The maximum number of people for each campervan is 4, both for sleeping and during driving. Sleeping is assured by the presence of two double beds arranjed in a bunk bed format.

Who may drive a campervan?

Any adult over the age of 21 who has held a valid driver’s license for more than 2 years.

Is there a minimum rental period for a campervan?

The minimum reservation period is 3 days. During the summer months and high seasons, the minimum booking period is 5 days, subject to availability.

How is the rental payment processed?

Payment is made in one lump sum in its entirety.

Can I travel outside of Portugal?

Circulation outside of Portugal is not allowed.

What are the pick-up and return times for motorhomes?

Schedule: Monday through Friday – 09h00 to 18h00

The pickup is made preferably between 10H00 and 18h00. It is necessary to notify at least 3 days in advance if the pick-up/return will be made in the morning or in the afternoon or if you wish to carry out the pick-up/return starting at 9:00 am, at no cost.

Why are the FIAT Ducato campervans reliable?

The FIAT Ducato is considered reliable by the caravanning sector, and there is a large assistance network for it in Portugal. Each campervan goes through an inspection before each rental.

What to do in case of a malfunction?

You must contact Art Campers’ services and inform us of what happened so we can activate the insurance services.

What do I need on the day I pickup the campervan?

Valid International driver’s license; credit or debit card; valid identification document (ID / Passport); and spirit of adventure!

What condition should the campervan be in upon return?

The fuel tank will be full when the campervan is picked up and must be returned in the same way.

Upon return, the campervan’s condition must be the same as it was when the rental contract was signed.

The security deposit’s amount that will be returned to the client will vary depending on any damages that the campervan or extra materials might suffer.

The cleaning fee will be applied according to the standards of hygiene, and will amount to €100,00.

What should I do if I’m late in returning the campervan?

In the event of delay in the return of the campervan, you must contact Art Campers so that we can record the delay along with the rental details.

Unfortunaly I need to cancel my booking. How should I proceed?

Our cancellation policy is that if you cancel more than 30 days before your scheduled check-in date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between 30 and 14 days before the scheduled check-in date, 25% of the amount paid is refunded. For cancellations made 14 days or less before the check-in date, no refund or voucher will be given.

Will I need to make a safety deposit when I pick up the campervan?

The deposit is payable in full on the day the campervan is picked up.

I’ve never driven a motorhome. Is it easy to adapt to it?

The operation and driving is the same as any other normal vehicle, but because it has larger dimensions we advise you to be careful while driving.

Can I take my pet with me?

Pets are allowed but a Pet Fee of 75€ will be applied. The rental company is not responsible for any fines or legal fees related to the transportation of the pet in the vehicle.

The Pet Fee only covers the cleaning of the vehicle after the rental. The renter is responsible for any damage (inside or outside of the vehicle) caused by the pet.

What payment methods are allowed?

The payment methods that are allowed are VivaWallet, MB Reference, MBWay and PayPal.

Are there any hidden / indirect costs?

All costs that are included in the booking confirmation page are the final prices.

We must add that any expenses with fuel and tolls are the responsibility of the traveller.

All caravans are equipped with “Via Verde”*. In case of use, you will be charged from your deposit, plus usage fee (15€).

* “Via Verde” allows you to travel on all portuguese national motorways without having to stop for tolls.

Can I see the campervans before confirming the booking?

All of our customers are welcome to visit our warehouses, where they can see the campervans before confirming the booking.

Can I also rent extra equipment?

Yes, it is possible to rent extra equipment, taking into account the prices associated with each of them.

How does the Wi-Fi work?

The WI-FI service is an extra 30 euros and has unlimited internet.

All of our campervans have insurance.

Does the insurance cover my belongings?

No, unfortunately the insurance does not cover the client’s belongings. The belongings are the client’s full responsibility.
